As most vegans might be all too aware of, it can be tough sometimes to find vegan food. The same principle applies to home meal delivery kits: almost every provider I’ve tested has a set vegetarian-friendly plan, but only some have dedicated vegan plans. While you could probably substitute some of the vegetarian options for vegan-friendly ingredients instead, it can be a little bit of a hassle. Thankfully, there are meal delivery services - such as Sun Basket - who offer vegan meal plans.
Meal delivery services might all do the same thing on the face of it - deliver you tasty, exciting meals for you to prepare at home - but the way they do this can be incredibly different from one another.
Some meal delivery services might offer you special plans for specific dietary preferences, such as vegan, paleo or gluten-free; others will usually have a classic plan and a vegetarian plan, while others might ask you if you'd like a low calorie or low carb plan, or even a pescatarian one! It really pays to do your research.
Having said that, all meal delivery services tend to work in the same way: each week, you choose the meals you'd like to make, order them and have them delivered straight to your door. You can then make your meals using the handy recipe cards and instructions included in the delivery box.
It depends who you ask - if you're used to buying a lot of food and having it all go to waste, then yes. If you're not sure how to make food for yourself or cook, then definitely yes. If you're used to eating out a lot, or ordering takes out, then meal delivery kits could definitely be a better, cheaper solution for you.
