10 Best Gluten-Free Meal Delivery Services 2024 (+ Coupons!)

Whether you’re looking for a gluten-free meal delivery service because you have an allergy or intolerance, or simply because of a general diet preference, there are now more options than ever for the 3.1 million Americans who are gluten-free.

The only problem is distinguishing between which meal delivery services have a gluten-free plan that’s suitable for dieters or those with minor intolerances, and those which have entirely gluten-free facilities that are ideal for gluten allergy sufferers.

Thankfully, I’ve done the research, tested the options, and put together the 10 best gluten-free meal delivery services available right now – including certified gluten-free companies for celiacs, as well.

While Sunbasket wins as our number-one gluten-free meal delivery service, you’ll find plenty of quality options, as well as active deals.

Short on Time? Here Are The Best Gluten-Free Meal Delivery Services:

The Best Gluten-Free Meal Delivery Services Reviewed

1. Green Chef – Certified Organic Gluten-Free Meal Kits

Key Features

Green Chef was the first meal delivery service to be certified organic by the USDA and certified gluten-free by the Gluten Intolerance Group. It’s a great option for those who suffer from celiac disease and anyone else looking to cut out gluten.

Its Keto + Paleo plan features around nine or 10 tasty, chef-crafted recipes each week that are entirely gluten- and grain-free. The ingredients come color-coded by recipe, so it’s easy to find the items you need. You’ll have everything assembled and ready to eat in less than 30 minutes.

Green Chef also offers its Balanced Living and Plant-Powered plans, which feature some gluten-free dishes, but you can’t mix and match between plans. Learn more about what’s available in our Green Chef review

Green Chef offsets 100% of the carbon emissions from shipping and operations. Shipping costs are $9.99 per week, with delivery available across the US, except Alaska, Hawaii, and parts of Louisiana.

2. Sunbasket – Farm-Fresh, Gluten-Free Meal Kits

Key Features

  • Quality ingredients – antibiotic- and hormone-free proteins and organic produce

  • Dietitian-approved – plentiful portions filled with protein, fiber, and healthy fats

  • Adaptable – choose your own recipes or select a dedicated meal plan

  • Delivery Rank special discount – No active deal

Sunbasket has a really good range of meal plans – 10 to be exact – including an extensive Gluten-Free plan. Although Sunbasket has a large gluten-free menu, its kitchens are not certified gluten-free, so this service is not recommended to anyone with a severe gluten allergy.

The company promises at least five to eight gluten-free friendly options on the menu each week, but there are often many more. One week, for example, I counted 29! You’ll get to choose from a good selection of protein options and unique flavor combinations, too, like Pulled-Pork Taquitos with Tomatillo Salsa Verde or Chipotle Shrimp and Cajun-Spiced Potato over Romaine Salad. Learn more about the menu in this dedicated Sunbasket review.

The meal kits are easy to put together in around 30 minutes. If you want something even quicker, Sunbasket has a number of prepared gluten-free dishes in its Fresh & Ready plan. These single-serving meals are great for mixing and matching, especially if you’re ordering with a partner who’s not gluten-free.

3. Freshly – Best Prepared Gluten-Free Meals

Key Features

  • Mostly gluten-free – kitchens certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group

  • Quick and convenient – heat and eat in just three minutes

  • Order up to 12 meals a week – that’s lunch and dinner taken care of

  • Delivery Rank special discount – Get $175 off your first 7 boxes!

You can enjoy almost any meal on Freshly’s menu of more than 40 dishes each week with zero risk of contamination, thanks to its Gluten Intolerance Group-certified kitchens. The facilities are entirely peanut-free, too. The options are all single-serving meals and ready to heat and eat.

Freshly also has options for anyone on a low-carb or low-calorie diet, as well as some plant-based meals. Enjoy tasty but healthy options like the Zingy Buffalo Chicken with Loaded Cauliflower or Farmstead Baked Lentil Pasta with Seasonal Veggies.

Choose between four and 12 meals per week, with the cost per serving dropping the more you order. We discuss Freshly’s plans in more detail in this dedicated review.

Currently, Freshly delivers across the continental US. The meals are prepared fresh and able to be kept in the refrigerator for up to five days. Shipping is calculated at checkout and depends on your location and plan.

4. Purple Carrot – Gluten-Free Vegan Meal Kits

Key Features

If you’re a gluten-free vegan, Purple Carrot is quite possibly the definition of foodie heaven! When signing up, simply select  the Gluten-Free preference to see the options.

The meal kits are fairly easy to cook and take the standard 30 minutes to get on the table. For something even easier, though, choose from the selection of prepared meals which can be ready in minutes. Learn more about how the service works in our Purple Carrot review

Keep in mind that while the meal kits you choose are gluten-free, the facilities in which they’re prepared are not, and the company can’t guarantee that cross-contamination has not occurred for those who have a serious allergy.

5. Marley Spoon – Martha Stewart’s Meal Kits

Key Features

  • Extensive menu – 40 recipes per week (around 10 to 14 gluten-free options)

  • Easy to follow – portioned ingredients and simple six-step recipes

  • Extra protein available – add meat, chicken, and seafood packs to your box

  • Delivery Rank special discount – Up to $235 off the first 5 boxes

While Marley Spoon doesn’t offer a dedicated gluten-free plan, there are many recipes on the menu labeled with No Added Gluten. In fact, all the allergens are clearly marked. The company offers around 40 new recipes each week, at least 10 of which are gluten-free.

Considering its celebrity status and adventurous menu, Martha Stewart & Marley Spoon starts at just $8.49 per serving when you order six meals per week for four people, so it’s great for families. For more details about the plans, check out our Marley Spoon review.

Each meal is ranked on a scale of Easy to Difficult based on the level of expertise required. Plus, the meals that take less than 30 minutes to get on the table are clearly labeled for your convenience.

6. HelloFresh – Most Popular Meal Kits With Gluten-Free Options

Key Features

You’ll also find categories such as Easy Prep and Easy Cleanup, so there are plenty of options when it comes to choosing meals that suit your needs. Check out our HelloFresh review for a full breakdown of the menu.

The company also prides itself on using quality ingredients, with produce that’s farm-sourced and organic where possible, and sustainably sourced proteins.

Meals start at $7.99 per serving and there is a $9.99 shipping charge. You can select up to 24 servings each week with a variety of options. Menus change each week so you’ll be able to continue to try new flavors and combinations every time.

The meals are made with ingredients that are free from GMOs and artificial preservatives, so you’re getting great quality food with each order.

Its plans allow you to choose between four and 18 meals per week, with prices starting at $11 per serving. While this does put Factor on the pricier end of the meal delivery spectrum, the company prides itself on using only the highest quality ingredients, and shipping is free. Your meals will arrive fresh, ready to heat and serve.

8. Veestro – Plant-Based, Ready to Eat Meals

Key Features

  • Plenty of gluten-free options – across both the weight loss and a la carte menus

  • No cooking or prep required – just heat and enjoy

  • Completely vegan – free from meat, dairy, fish, eggs, and honey

  • Delivery Rank special discount – No active deal

For anyone who wants to have healthy, plant-based meals to hand, Veestro is perfect since you can order up to 30 dishes at a time. The flash-frozen meals can be kept in the freezer for up to eight weeks, or in the refrigerator for three to five days, so you’ll always have something quick to eat, no matter how busy your schedule. For more information, read our full Veestro review.

Search the site for gluten-free or by looking for the Gluten-Free tag on each product. Alongside the a la carte menu, there’s also a dedicated weight loss program which is made up of meals around 400 calories each.

It’s important to note that meals are prepared in a facility that may have some cross-contamination, so this isn’t a good option if you have serious allergies.

The meals start at $11.03 per serving and shipping is free if you sign up for the auto-delivery option.

9. Fresh n’ Lean – Quick & Convenient Meals

Key Features

Fresh n’ Lean offers a wide selection of gluten-free meals each week with breakfast, lunch, and dinner available. Made in a gluten-free facility, the dishes are safe for anyone that’s allergic, too. For even more, you can add protein and vegetable packs to your order.

The prepared meals feature seasonal produce and promise no added sugar or artificial ingredients. Find out more about what’s in the meals in our Fresh n’ Lean review.

Each meal takes just two to three minutes to be heated in the microwave before it’s ready to eat. When the meals arrive, they can go right in the fridge until you’re ready to eat them – it really couldn’t be simpler or more convenient!

10. Dinnerly – Affordable Gluten-Free Meals

Key Features

  • Family favorites – full of flavors everyone will love

  • Budget-friendly – meals start at $4.69 per serving

  • Simple recipes everyone can make – an average of six ingredients per dish

  • Delivery Rank special discount – Get $170 off your first 6 boxes!

For a budget-friendly service, Dinnerly offers a great selection of meals, with all allergens clearly labeled. You’ll find a good number of gluten-free dishes on the menu each week, as well as ones which are kid-friendly and ready in under 30 minutes. Check out our Dinnerly review for more information.

In addition to the 30+ dinner recipes available each week, you can also add on protein packs, like grass-fed ground beef, chicken breasts, and pork cutlets. Desserts and breakfasts are add-ons as well, but rarely have options with no added gluten.

The company does state that the meals are made in a facility that sometimes handles common allergens, including wheat. While everything is worked on in separate spaces, there can be a risk for those with severe allergies.

Tips for Choosing the Best Gluten-Free Meal Delivery Services

When I was vetting out the above meal delivery services, I had a few important criteria in mind. Consider these when you’re deciding on the best gluten-free meal plan for your needs:

  • Transparency with ingredients: Whether you have a sensitivity or an allergy, understanding exactly what is included in each meal is extremely important. Look for a meal delivery service with easy-to-navigate menu filters and ingredients lists.

  • Variety: It’s the spice of life, after all! Gluten-free diners shouldn’t feel more restricted than anyone else. Having a good assortment of flavors and cusines is important.

  • Quality produce: Fruits and vegetables are crucial for a healthy diet, as are high-quality proteins. Many services work with local farmers to ensure the best quality ingredients in their boxes.

  • Affordability: The price points for the meal delivery services listed above cover a large range because it’s important to select one that works with your budget. Take advantage of the special discounts, too!

  • Gluten-free facilities: If you have a serious gluten allergy, it’s important to utilize a service that’s certified gluten-free for total peace of mind.

Bottom Line: Why Choose a Gluten-Free Meal Delivery Service?

Meal planning can be stressful at the best of times, but when you’re trying to stick to a specialized diet like gluten-free, it can get even more complicated. Gluten-free meal delivery services not only introduce you to a wide range of new recipes and ideas, it delivers everything you need to your door, too.

The only hard part is deciding which company to try first!

FAQs

Is Home Chef gluten-free?

Home Chef doesn’t have a gluten-free plan, but there are some wheat-free options you can try if you’re willing to search through the menu. If you have an allergy to gluten, however, this is not the best option. Green Chef’s Keto + Paleo plan would be a better choice because it's certified gluten-free.

Are there gluten-free weight loss programs?

Many of the meal delivery services listed above can be incredibly helpful for weight loss because the meals fall in a specific caloric range. Veestro’s weight loss plan offers meals at around 400 calories each, so if you order all three of your daily meals through this service, you’ll come in around 1,200 calories per day.

Is Purple Carrot gluten-free?

Purple Carrot does offer gluten-free meals. However, the facilities that the meals are prepared in are not certified gluten-free, so if you have an allergy, it may not be the best option for you.

Are all Freshly meals gluten-free?

Freshly’s meal plans are mostly gluten-free, and those meals that are, are made in a certified gluten-free facility. With certification from the Gluten Intolerance Group, Freshly became the largest certified company that offers prepared meals.

Does Blue Apron have gluten-free meals?

Blue Apron doesn’t currently have a gluten-free menu. There may be some options available if you check the ingredients, but there is not a specific category for gluten-free. Try one of these gluten-free meal delivery services instead.
