You can keep the box content as it is. However, you may be able to customize the package if you see the Customize button accompanying your delivery. To be able to tailor your order or purchase, for that matter, you’ll need to register an account first (I’ll elaborate on that a little later). 

You have the flexibility to choose your first delivery day. The initial shipping usually occurs a week or 2 after you place an order because the available delivery frequency is either weekly or every other week.

You can browse artisanal and grocery add-ons by product type. Most categories have several sub-categories. Some Dairy sub-categories are Milk & Cream, Cheese, and Butter. If it’s snacks you’re after, then the sub-categories are Salsa & Dips, Bars & Fruit Snacks, and Crackers & Chips, among other options. 

But I hit a roadblock regarding artisanal and grocery items during my research. Every product I clicked on, and I browsed a few dozen of them, was currently unavailable. So, I'm under the impression that if Farm Fresh to You reviews its offerings, it doesn't do it very often. But the only good thing I learned was that the service delivers goods to my area on Thursdays.

The company provides individual ingredients for various dieters. But it doesn't categorize them based on a dietary plan, except for some vegan options. So, you'll have to choose foods aligning with your dietary needs carefully. 

Once you subscribe, you can create a Never Send List of products you’d like to avoid. 

Unboxing

Farm Fresh to You packs its products in a box without any particular order. It puts 1 product on top of the other. But you'll recognize fruits and veggies without the slightest issue since they don't come in individual packages. You'll find other products, such as cheeses and eggs, packed in labeled, dedicated packs.

Farm Fresh to You's products don’t contain any preservatives. They are 100% organic, meaning that they typically don't last long. However, the service has thoughtfully provided a dedicated section on its website filled with storage tips you can use to find ways to extend the freshness of your fruits and vegetables.

I think that the company uses too many plastic bags and containers. But I understand that it has to separate the items and keep potatoes, tomatoes, and other products together somehow. 

You can return the used box to the meal delivery service for recycling. Do so by placing a flattened box where the courier leaves your next order. You can also return rinsed glass bottles. As for lids and caps, you can recycle them yourself, there's no need to return them. You can keep dry ice and insulated envelopes for further use. 

Cooking and Eating with Farm Fresh to You

Some foods will require cooking, while others you can enjoy as is, especially if you opt for the No Cooking box. When your delivery arrives, you'll have to brainstorm recipes, figure out ingredient amounts, and dive into nutritional details. Shortlist of My Favorite Meals

I like eating fruits as they are, but I found some pretty interesting recipes on the site. To find them, navigate to Eat & Be Well in the header and then choose Recipes. 

Watermelon Sorbet is a refreshing summertime delicacy easy to whip up. Take cut-up watermelon pieces, freeze them, toss them into a blender, and freeze the content again. The "challenging" part, if you can call it that, is the blending – you might have to let it whirl for around 10 minutes.

Strawberry Pizza is an unconventional dessert, in my opinion. I haven't tried it yet, but I think it should take about 10 to 15 minutes of prep time on top of around 45 minutes of cooking. Besides the obvious ingredients, you'll need olive oil, milk, flour, sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of sea salt. To bring it all together, you'll need a pizza pan, a bowl, a mixer, and an oven.

Tomatillo Guacamole's a quick and flavorful recipe. It contains 9 ingredients, and you’ll have to whirl most of them in a food processor for a minute or 2, season, and add the remaining ingredients. The dish's serving size is 4 cups.

Prices

The cost of organic produce depends on the box type and its size. There’s a huge menu with hundreds of products, and the costs vary accordingly. The wide range of items on offer includes bread, milk, produce, and snacks.

You don't pay extra for shipping since your subscription covers delivery costs. 

Ask for a refund if you're dissatisfied with the delivered products. To do so, you need to contact the food delivery service's customer support within 48 hours of receiving your delivery. That's because Farm Fresh to You typically delivers boxes between 7 pm (the night before) and 7 am on the scheduled delivery day. As for office deliveries, the driver delivers products between 8 am and 5 pm on the specified delivery day. 

You can skip or change your orders with this company, if necessary. To change it, make the necessary adjustments no later than 6 pm PST (PDT) 2 days before your scheduled delivery. The same cut-off time applies for skipping or changing the delivery frequency. You'll know that your box is about to hit the road by receiving an email reminder before each delivery.

You have to subscribe to buy Farm Fresh to You's organic and other food. In other words, you can't purchase or customize the box as a guest like with many other meal delivery services, as Farm Fresh to You reviews by me and my colleagues confirmed. Alternatively, fill out the Contact Us web form from your account. Remember to unsubscribe no later than 6 pm PST/PDT 2 days before the next delivery. Otherwise, you'll receive 1 more shipment.

You have 3 ways to contact customer support – email, phone, and live chat. You can expect to get in touch with an agent and get a response from 8 am to 5 pm PST/PDT on workdays. Oddly, I found that the live chat link wasn’t visible on every page.
