Tired of meticulously planning your meals and calculating your carb intake? Perhaps you’re about to embark on the keto diet but aren’t quite sure where to start. Either way, that's what the influx of keto-friendly meal delivery services are for – and I’ve researched all of them to list the best right here.
From meal kits filled with fresh, organic produce to freezer-friendly chef-prepared dishes, and even some veggie and affordable options, all these services will deliver food direct to your door, meaning it’s never been easier to reap the benefits of a keto lifestyle.
After some serious deliberation, Green Chef stole the top spot for me, thanks to the varied and exciting recipes on its dedicated keto- and paleo-friendly plan.
And, since most services tend to use the terms “keto” and “low carb” interchangeably – and it’s kind of up to you to figure out which best suits your specific goals – I believe Green Chef’s clearly labeled nutrition facts and clean, organic ingredients make it a great place to start.

For budding chefs who want half the work done for them, Green Chef’s deliveries come with measured and prepped ingredients, along with pre-made sauces, marinades, and spice blends, so you can have dinner on the table in 30 minutes or less.
The recipes are also super easy to follow, with chef tips and photos.
There’s a dedicated plan for keto dieters; the Keto + Paleo menu features low-carb recipes that are free of gluten, grains, soy, and legumes, and always come in at less than 35g of carbs per serving. Look out for tasty, high-protein dishes such as Herby Balsamic-Dijon Chicken and Steak and Shrimp with Spicy Peperonata.
The produce is – as you might expect – fresh and always organic, and the generous portions of meat and fish are always responsibly sourced and non-GMO. You can find out more about that in our full-length Green Chef review.
The service delivers across the US and shipping is always $9.99, no matter the size of your order. And – in a nod to its name and sustainable ethos – the company strives to ensure all its packaging is recyclable or reusable where possible.

Fresh N’ Lean’s dedicated Keto plan is just one of the specialized diets it caters for. All the meals are made from sustainably sourced ingredients (including its seafood and grass-fed beef) with an emphasis on healthy fats like olive oil and avocado.
The prepared dishes are developed by nutritionists and cooked by pro chefs, guaranteeing meals that are delicious, hassle-free, and in line with a keto diet. The company will also take food intolerances in account when you sign up – a rare find with prepared meal services.
The chef-curated plans mean that you can’t choose your meals, but you can add extras such as snacks and protein packs, or you can buy a la carte – my colleague’s Fresh N’ Lean review goes into more detail.
Ultimately, if you’re looking to stick to a keto diet with minimum effort, Fresh N’ Lean is definitely one of the healthier (and more affordable) options.

The meals arrive chilled, and will happily stay fresh for a full seven days in the fridge. They’re great for a filling work lunch or to refuel post-workout – look out for varied and exciting dishes like Turkey Chili and Zucchini with Ancho Lime Crema or Pesto Salmon with Creamed Spinach and Tomato-Butter Haricot Verts.

If you’re on the keto diet to lose weight, it’s hard to go wrong with Diet-to-Go’s Keto-Carb30 plan. Diners can choose from a large number of meals that contain up to 30g of net carbs and 1,300 calories per day. While for many, the keto diet is difficult to maintain, Diet-to-Go makes it easy to stick to.
The meals are also incredibly convenient. All you need to do is heat and eat – and the plan offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so your entire day (and week) is covered. Choose anything from BBQ Pork Ribs to Cheese and Veggie Egg Bites.

Sunbasket is, without doubt, one of the top meal delivery services out there. It lives up to that reputation when it comes to keto-friendly options, too, thanks to its dedicated Keto-Friendly plan.
All the meals on this plan come in at 15g of net carbs or less per serving, and focus on top-tier proteins and healthy fats sourced from high-quality proteins, nuts, seeds, and avocados – but it’ll be up to you to ensure you stay within your daily carb limit.
You’ll also get to mix and match across the meal kits and prepared meals – and if you want to go off-piste and order from another plan, such as paleo, you can do that too. Find out more in this Sunbasket review.
The menu is really varied, with tons of interesting and healthy side salads, veggies, and slaws. This is definitely a meal delivery service you won’t tire of any time soon.

Designed with busy and active lifestyles in mind, Snap Kitchen has a solid range of prepared keto meals (less than 20g carbs per serving), as well as dishes that suit other specific diets, all of which are gluten-free.
The meals are delivered fresh, and promise to be free of hormones, preservatives, and other junk. And the best bit? They actually taste good, as my colleague found out.
As well as around 10 keto meals per week, you’ll also find around 25 that are tagged as low-carb (less than 30g of net carbs per serving), so you’ll have more than enough choice while being able to stay well within your daily limit.
Enjoy high-protein dishes like Chicken Piccata and Herb-Crusted Salmon, as well as some breakfast options and additional proteins and sides, too.

Home Chef’s Carb-Conscious menu includes several dishes that are keto-friendly, coming in at less than 32g of carbs per serving. Plus, it gives you plenty of customization options, including the ability to swap, upgrade, or double-up on the protein in each recipe.
The low-carb meals include super-speedy 15-minute meal kits (think Pork Enchilada Lettuce Wraps or Teriyaki Salmon with Broccoli and Bok Choy) as well as the traditional meal kits and oven-ready meals, like the Pesto-Parmesan Chicken with Tuscan-Style Green Beans.
My colleague’s tried-and-tested Home Chef review goes into more detail about the menu and its varying meal types. There’s a whole range of low-prep options, including Oven-Ready dishes and 15-Minute Meal Kits.
But the best thing about this service? The price per portion, with some dishes starting at $7.99.
Fun, easy-to-follow meal kits
3-4 keto-friendly recipes per week
Other dietary options include low-calorie, veggie, and pescatarian
Despite being one of the most popular meal kit delivery services across America, HelloFresh doesn’t cater to specialized diets such as keto. It does, however, offer a few great child-friendly Carb Smart recipes per week if you’re looking to feed the whole family and stay on track with your carb-cutting.
In your box you’ll get fresh ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions. There are even ideas on how to get the kids involved, so it’s great for weekend cook-offs at home.
It’s also one of the more affordable meal delivery services out there, as my colleague discovered when they tested the service for their in-depth HelloFresh review.
A shout out, also, to HelloFresh’s sustainable credentials: The company works hard to help cut down on food waste and reduce its carbon footprint, as well as practice smarter packaging methods in all its boxes.
Global-inspired dishes and gourmet options
3-4 keto-friendly meals per week
Other dietary options include vegetarian, diabetes-friendly, and low-calorie
Blue Apron offers a range of balanced meals suited to the average American family, with some great carb-conscious recipes on its Wellness plan that come in at less than 42g of carbs per serving.
This plan has also been approved by nutritionists and WW (formerly Weight Watchers). WW uses SmartPoints to help you keep track of calories, saturated fat, sugar, and protein, making it a useful tool for keto diets.
Blue Apron also has protein-focused Meal Prep Bundles available and you can shop for useful keto ingredients from the online marketplace, such as seafood and meat. Oh, and don’t forget the optional wine subscription when you feel like treating yourself!

Whether you’re new to the keto diet and looking for an easy way to start or a keto-pro looking to broaden your horizons, there’s a keto meal delivery service out there for you. I’ll walk you through a few of the key factors to look out for.
Prepared meals vs. meal kits: If you want ultimate convenience and zero-prep, make sure you’re looking at services with prepared meals. If you’re looking to improve your cooking skills or want to customize your dishes, look for meal kits.
Variety: One of the hardest things about the keto diet is that it can become monotonous and make you not want to eat steak with a side of veggies ever again! A meal delivery service with a weekly-changing menu can help keep your meals fresh and interesting. For those with fixed menus, make sure there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored.
Flexibility: Easy cancellation, pausing your subscription, and changing the date of your delivery are all important for a high-quality meal delivery service, particularly if you decide to come off keto for a while.
Budget: It goes without saying that you should choose a meal delivery service that isn’t going to blow your weekly grocery budget. Consider shipping costs, too, when totaling up whether or not a service is affordable for you.
Keto meal delivery services are the ideal way for a keto-newbie to get started – they can help you stay on track and broaden your horizons when it comes to knowing what to cook.
Those more familiar with the keto diet can use a keto meal delivery service to reduce the time spent shopping, prepping, and planning their meals. They’re also a great way to find new keto-friendly recipes so you’ll never get bored.
For me, Green Chef is the top choice. Not only will it help you diversify your menu and pick up new cooking techniques thanks to its healthy and varied keto plan, but its prepared ingredients will allow you to get meals on the table in just 30 minutes. It’s a win-win!
If you’re looking for prepared meals, Fresh N’ Lean and Snap Kitchen are both great keto-friendly options.
HelloFresh can be a great option for those looking to cut down on carbs thanks to its Carb-Smart meals. However, it doesn’t have dedicated keto meals, so you’ll have to make sure you’re staying within your limits if you’re on a strict keto diet.
Sunbasket does have a specific keto meal plan. With the Keto-Friendly plan, you’ll never see more than 15g net carbs in a meal, with most of them well under that limit.
With a little planning, Sunbasket is a great option for keto dieters looking for organic, healthy, and varied options.
Meals from services that offer keto-specific plans tend to start from around $8.99 per serving. On my list, Home Chef is the most affordable option but the meals are considered Carb-Conscious as opposed to strictly keto.
The most expensive on my list is Factor, with prices starting at $6.19 per serving.
