Unboxing: Shelf-Stable Foods in a Recyclable Box

Everything you order comes neatly packaged inside of a cardboard box. Everything is shelf-stable, so you won’t find any ice or cooling gel packs inside your delivery boxes.

Also, none of the food is pre-portioned. As such, you’ll be responsible for feeding your furry friend the correct amount of food you feel is right. However, do note that there are feeding guidelines and instructions available for each food type on the website. It tells you how much to feed your pet depending on his or her weight.

What I can tell you, though, is that the delivery box itself is fully recyclable, along with wet food cans. You just have to wash the cans out first before they’re eligible for recycling. Additionally, other materials may or may not be recyclable, depending on your local laws and the exact packaging materials of each item.

Lastly, you don’t need to do anything special to most of the food before serving. The only exception is the dehydrated raw food, which will have to be mixed with warm water to rehydrate it. 

It’s easy to rehydrate the dehydrated food – simply mix equal parts food and warm water. Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes and serve. 

Special note about dehydrated food: do not use boiling water, as this could severely injure your pet. Always make sure that the water is safe enough for your own consumption before using it to rehydrate your pet’s food.

Changing your order is possible after you place it, but you have to act quickly. For example, the site states that once it’s in the shipping queue, it can’t be changed online.
