Orlando is a city full of nightlife, golf courses, shopping malls, and world-famous theme parks. And with so many local gems, who has time to plan and prepare meals? If only there were some way to make dinner times easier…
Thankfully, I know meal delivery services like Walt Disney knew Mickey Mouse. And this time I’ve compiled my years of research and taste-testing to bring you the best meal delivery services in Orlando.
While Home Chef wins my top spot as the best in Orlando, thanks to its customizable dishes and variety of prep options, every service on this list has something to offer.
Whether you and your college roommate are looking for easy weeknight dinners on a budget, you’re a fitness fan looking for healthy post-workout meals, or you need to feed a household of hungry little ones, there’s a meal delivery service on this list for you.
Home Chef – Best overall meal delivery service in Orlando
HelloFresh – Best service for menu variety
Blue Apron – Best for beginner cooks in Orlando
Marley Spoon – Best service for Orlando families
Freshly – Best for healthy prepared meals

Home Chef takes my top spot because it offers something for just about everybody. The Culinary Collection lets you whip up restaurant-worthy meals when you fancy something special, while the 15-Minute Meal Kits are great for busy nights. There are oven-ready offerings, too, which require nothing more than assembling in the accompanying pan.
In fact, having tried Home Chef for themselves, my colleague found it to be “one of the most versatile meal delivery services out there”.
With the Customize It feature, you can swap the Parmesan Pork Chop (pictured) for strip steak, pork tenderloin medallions, or chicken breast. This feature is available on almost every dish on the menu, so you can swap, upgrade, or double-up on protein whenever you like.
Note that while Home Chef does offer some calorie- and carb-conscious, and vegetarian meals, it has little to offer vegans or those on specialized diets such as keto or paleo.
But when it comes to crowd-pleasing dishes that’ll appeal to families, couples, and omnivores looking for a diverse and flexible menu, you’ll find a lot to love with Home Chef.

HelloFresh is another excellent family-friendly meal delivery service that offers high-quality, fresh ingredients for a great price point. Choose from more than 30 recipes each week, including a mix of Hall of Fame classics and new and exciting gourmet dishes.
All HelloFresh’s meal kits come with clearly marked recipe cards that are easy to follow – even for beginners. It came as no surprise to me that, after trying the service for themselves, our expert reviewer concluded “the recipes were well outlined and resulted in super tasty meals.”.
HelloFresh has also introduced HelloCustom, making the variety of dishes on offer even wider than before. This customization feature allows you to swap or take out the protein on some entrees.
HelloFresh subscribers also have access to the HelloFresh Market, which offers grocery items like fresh proteins, produce, spices, and desserts. If you’re brand-new to meal delivery services, HelloFresh is a great place to start.

19+ dishes on the menu each week

With a ton of sophisticated entrees like the Steelhead Trout and Lemon-Caper Sauce dish pictured, Blue Apron’s global-inspired menu will allow you to try a whole new world of food and ingredients from the comfort of your own home.
The meal kits can be cooked and served in as little as 25 to 30 minutes, and there are oven-ready and microwaveable options, too. For dieters, Blue Apron’s Mediterranean-inspired Wellness menu is WW-approved and allows you to track SmartPoints with ease.
When it comes to ingredients, the service promises only non-GMO produce, hormone-free meat, and sustainably sourced seafood. And after some in-depth research, our reviewer found that Blue Apron “certainly lives up to the hype.”.
Blue Apron’s easy to follow recipe cards, how-to videos and online demos make this a great service for anyone who wants to learn how to cook great meals from scratch or brush up on their techniques in the kitchen.
Easy-to-follow recipes and high-quality ingredients
45+ dishes on the menu per week
Dietary options include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and more

With more than 45 different dishes on the Marley Spoon menu each week, you’ll never want for variety again. As well as kid-friendly options, this service caters to many dietary needs, with dairy-free, gluten-free, and low-calorie meals. You’ll also find vegan and vegetarian recipes.
Enjoy adventurous meals like the Berbere-Spiced Beef and Couscous Stew (pictured), as well as family favorites like burgers, pasta and chilaquiles. And with meals starting at $2.99 per serving, Marley Spoon is very reasonably priced.
The meal kits do expect you to have some pantry items, such as sherry vinegar, to hand – so keep that in mind when choosing your dishes. But after trying Marley Spoon at home, our reviewer said “the step-by-step methods made it easy to create Martha Stewart-level dishes in my own kitchen.”.
You’ll also find some great desserts and celebration bundles on the menu each week.

Meal kits are a great option for those who want to learn how to cook or discover new recipes. But if you lack the time or kitchen space to create your own healthy meals, or you’re often eating from your desk, you might do better with a prepared meal delivery service like Freshly.
Freshly’s balanced meals require zero prep or cooking– you just heat them up and enjoy! Almost all the dishes are gluten-free, and all promise less sugar and fewer processed ingredients compared to the ready meals you’ll find in the supermarket.
After some in-depth research, our reviewer recommended Freshly for people who are looking for “super-easy yet nutritious options when it comes to mealtimes”.
The menu doesn’t change weekly but there are more than 40 tasty options to choose from, including low-carb takes on some classics, like the Cauliflower Shell Beef Bolognese. It also caters well to dietary needs, with dairy-free, soy-free, high-protein dishes, and more.
Conveniently prepped ingredients and marinades

At the more premium end of the meal delivery scale is Green Chef – a service which offers high-quality, organic produce and hormone-free, sustainably sourced proteins, and which prioritizes relationships with local farmers and producers.
Green Chef makes restaurant-quality food easy to prepare. The kits arrive with chopped veggies, and ready-made sauces and seasonings, so there’s very little cutting or measuring to do on your part. Just follow the recipe and within 20 to 40 minutes you’ll have a tasty, balanced plate of food.
This service also caters well to special diets and has an excellent vegan and veggie Plant-Powered menu. Our reviewer who tried Green Chef at home also declared its Keto + Paleo plan “one of the best in the game”. What’s particularly great is you can mix and match across the plans, so there’s no need to stick to just one diet.

If you’re on a tight budget, EveryPlate is Orlando’s cheapest meal delivery service. That, combined with its emphasis on filling comfort food, make it a great choice for families.
EveryPlate keeps its costs down by offering a slightly smaller and more basic selection of recipes. For example, you’ll find budget-friendly veggies like potatoes and carrots make a regular appearance as a side dish, along with hearty mains like burgers, meatballs, and cheesy chicken.
There are also no customization options or meals that cater to specialized diets, though it does offer a vegetarian menu. All in all, our reviewer found Everyplate to be both “tasty and affordable.”
EveryPlate’s Premium offerings are a great bargain, too. For just a few dollars more per serving, you can enjoy steak and seafood entrees that would cost twice as much with other meal delivery services.
Both meal kits and prepared meals available
16 entrees each week, plus breakfast and lunch picks
Dietary options include high-protein, gluten-free, soy-free, and more

Orlando is certainly one of the better places in Florida for vegetarian and vegan foodies, but I know from experience it’s all too easy to fall into a steady diet of soy burgers and faux “meats”. Fortunately, Purple Carrot makes it easy to enjoy delicious plant-based breakfasts, lunches, and dinners every week.
Purple Carrot’s varied and exciting menu features a limited selection of breakfasts and quick lunches, as well as its main entrees. And the quality of the food is excellent – our reviewer tried Purple Carrot at home and declared it “guaranteed to please even the fussiest of omnivores.”
Of the 16 dinners offered by Purple Carrot each week, eight are meal kits and the remainder are prepared meals that just need to be microwaved. These heat-and-eat dishes are perfect for working vegans whose corporate cafeterias and nearby restaurants are short on plant-powered food.
High-quality ingredients in every dish
34 prepared meals each week
Dietary options include keto, low-calorie, plant-based, and more
Current deal: Up to $276 Off!
Dieting can be tough in the Land of Disney, right? But if you’re looking to stick to a healthy eating plan, Factor can make it a whole lot easier with tons of keto-friendly choices, plant-based dishes, and more.
When our reviewer gave Factor a go, they found the prepared meals to be “of high quality and really tasty”. But with prices from $6.19 per serving, it is one of the more expensive services out there.
That said, fitness-conscious eaters and serious keto dieters will love Factor’s nutritious offerings. As well as prepared meals you can enjoy post-gym or on the go, you’ll find add-ons like protein packs, smoothies, soups, and wellness shots.
Subscribers will also get a free 20-minute consultation with an in-house dietitian when they sign up. And if you need further help achieving your health goals, additional coaching is available.

You have lots of choice when it comes to meal delivery in Orlando, so how do you find the service that’s right for you? Here are some pro tips to get you started:
Know your culinary limits. Meal kits are a great way to learn new cooking skills and recipes. But if you have limited kitchen equipment, space, or time, a prepared meal delivery service might be a better choice for you.
Price is important, but it’s not the only thing. If the difference between a meal delivery service you love and one you tolerate is just $0.50 a serving, you’ll be paying an extra $6 a week for a 12-serving plan. It may well be worth it for varied and tasty food that your family loves to eat!
Understand your dietary preferences. You may be able to cobble together one or two vegan, keto, or paleo entrees every week with a generalized meal service but you’ll be much happier with a service that offers you a dedicated menu.
Don’t be afraid to switch. It may take you some time to find your perfect meal delivery service. All the services on our list have easy cancellation policies, so you can try a few before you settle on the one that works for you.
If you’re on the fence about meal delivery services, have a think about just how much time, money, and energy they may allow you to save in your day-to-day life. And when you think of it like that, meal delivery services in Orlando are always worth it!
When you subscribe to a meal delivery service like our top choice, Home Chef, you get healthy and delicious food on your doorstep every week. And if you’re on a specialized diet, meal delivery services can save you the hassle of sourcing ingredients, looking up recipes, and preparing your meals from scratch.
Ultimately, meal delivery services allow you to spend less time worrying about your mealtimes and more time enjoying all that Orlando has to offer.
Thanks to its Customize It feature and wide-ranging menu, Home Chef wins our award for Orlando’s best meal delivery service. Most people will find Home Chef to be a great choice with lots of tasty meals to choose from, though it may not be a good fit for those on specialized diets.
EveryPlate is the cheapest meal delivery service in Orlando, with prices starting at just $1.49 per serving. EveryPlate’s basic but filling comfort food is especially good for parents trying to feed picky eaters.
I gave Freshly the nod for best prepared meal delivery service in Orlando because of its balanced and nutritious meals that can be ready in three minutes or less. If you want the convenience of prepared meals, Freshly is an excellent choice, and it provides more than 40 options on its wide-ranging menu.
