Planning and preparing healthy, delicious meals can become a hassle, especially when life gets hectic in Washington’s second-largest city. It’s then time to say hello to some of Spokane’s best meal delivery services.
I’ve tried and tested dozens of meal delivery services. I took the ingredients and delivery fees into account to compile this list, so whether you want to eat healthier, learn to cook different things, or simply have no time to shop, there’s a meal delivery service in Spokane for you. And to make things even easier, I’ve listed my top 10 choices.

Factor offers pre-made, chef-crafted meals that are designed to help you achieve your health goals. This means high-quality ingredients free from preservatives, hormones, and antibiotics. Factor is dedicated to providing fresh and healthy meals that don’t compromise on taste.
Factor’s menu is constantly changing and features a wide range of meals to choose from. You’ll find dishes from around the world like Fusilli and Ground Pork Tomato Ragu with Roasted Green Beans, Chicken Alfredo Pasta with Garlicky Broccoli, and Red Chile Ground Beef Tamale Bowl – all pre-cooked by Factor’s chefs. All you have to do is reheat it and enjoy the restaurant-quality food at your table.
Another thing I love about Factor is its Factor for Teams section, which provides ready meals for businesses of all sizes. If you’re a business owner that’s looking to provide a nutritious meal for its employees, then check it out. Teams can squeeze in some intercommunication during each lunch break, and your accountant will be happy too, as Factor for Teams won’t break the bank.
Factor allows you to choose meals to suit your individual dietary needs. You can browse among Chef’s Choice, Keto, Calorie Smart, Vegan & Veggie, Flexitarian, and Protein Plus plans. You’re not restricted to just 1 plan – you can select from the full menu each week. You can read more about the meal plans in our Factor review.
Factor’s meals are delivered in insulated packaging to ensure their freshness, and each meal is individually packaged. The label features ingredients and heating instructions. The packaging is recyclable, and Factor gives full details on its website about how to recycle the packaging.
You can always turn to Factor’s extensive selection of add-ons if you’re still craving a bit more after a Shredded Chicken Taco Bowl. It features smoothies, juices, breakfasts, and desserts – even prepackaged keto cookies!
Factor offers free shipping to most of the continental United States. It also offers a range of delivery options to ensure your meals arrive when you need them. You can choose to receive your meals weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs.
Factor’s meals start at $6.19 per meal. The cost per meal doesn’t depend on the meal plan you choose but does depend on the number of meals you order each week. You can order between 6 and 18 single-serving meals per week. The more you order, the less you’ll pay per meal.
Certified organic produce and high-quality proteins
8 plans with keto-friendly, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly recipes
Large add-ons selection

Green Chef takes a rather different approach to healthy living. It uses only certified organic produce and responsibly sourced, non-GMO ingredients in its recipes, all of which are expertly crafted to be nutritionally balanced.
Green Chef’s 45+ weekly menu items are divided into categories based on dietary preference. You can choose between Keto, Gluten-Free, Quick & Easy, Calorie Smart, Mediterranean, Plant-Based, Protein-Packed, and Delicious Discoveries plans. The full menu is available, so you can mix and match meals to get exactly what you want in each kit. For a full breakdown, you can check out my colleague’s review.
Another thing that I really liked is the fact that Green Chef offers meal kits for up to 6 people, with options of 3 or 4 meals per week. This is obviously great for large broods or when you have guests. You don’t have to worry about being stuck with too much food next week either – you can adjust the size of your order at any time.
I found Green Chef’s food flavorful and inviting. Some of my favorites are Cheddar Chicken with Creole Dijonnaise, Pork with Balsamic Fig Sauce, Thai-Style Chicken, and Bell Pepper Soup. Green Chef doesn’t offer prepared meals at this time. While this does mean more prep, some ingredients, like dressings and spice blends, come premade. If you want to try some prepared meals, check out Factor.
The Add-on selection is filled with tasty breakfast options and 10-minute lunches. Breakfast choices include On-the-Go Breakfasts and a selection of delicious breakfast bites that include smoky bacon bites and banana nut muffins. This is a convenient solution for when your mornings get a bit too busy but you still want to start your day right.
Green Chef takes an ethical approach to its packaging and shipping, using only recyclable materials where possible. All of Green Chef’s carbon emissions are offset through its various sustainable initiatives, too.
Green Chef’s meals start at $9.99 per serving, which is on the pricier side, but if you value high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients and ethical practices, the price tag might be worth it for you.
25 or more recipes on the menu each week
High-quality, locally sourced produce
Great for busy families
HelloFresh is a firm favorite with many Americans – and for good reason. Not only does it offer a good range of recipes (over 30 choices each week), but it also has a strong focus on sustainably sourced ingredients.
If you’re looking for a meal kit to feed the entire family, HelloFresh is a good place to start. There are 6 plans to choose from, including Meat & Veggies, Quick & Easy, Family Friendly, Veggie, Fit & Wholesome, and Pescatarian. The plans contain international dishes like Fully Loaded Pork Taquitos, Sweet Corn and Green Pepper Chowder, Firecracker Meatballs, and Parmesan Herb–Crusted Salmon.
The HelloCustom feature is included in all plans. It allows you to swap more than 12 sides or proteins each week, which comes particularly handy for parents whose kids are picky eaters.
The nutritional info is clear on every recipe, but you might find this is one service that falls short for vegans. For more details about the plans, read our in-depth review.
Get started by picking your preferences, but you’ll have access to the full menu each week. After you cook, eat, and enjoy your chosen meals, you can recycle your box and packaging. You can easily dispose of your box by taking it to a local recycling center or leaving it curbside with other recyclables.
You can order anywhere from 2 to 6 meals per week for 2 or 4 people – if that doesn’t take the stress out of meal planning, I don’t know what does! HelloFresh delivers to all 48 contiguous states in the US and offers free shipping on all meal plans, with the price per serving starting at an affordable $3.32.
Swap, upgrade, or double-up on protein
Meal kits for every schedule and level of cook
Dietary options include low-carb, low-cal, and vegetarian
Home Chef is one of the most versatile meal delivery services out there. Its Customize-It feature allows you to choose your protein for many of its recipes, so if you want to swap the shrimp for scallops or chicken in your Shrimp Marsala Pasta – it can be done! You can read more about its customization options in our full Home Chef review.
You can build your own weekly menu, but you can also mix and match from a range of meal kits and prepared meals. Alongside its standard meal kits, you can order speedy 15-Minute Meal Kits and Oven- and Grill-Ready dishes for busy weeknights.
There are lots of low-carb and low-calorie options available on the menu as well as vegetarian meals. The protein swaps even allow you to swap in Impossible meat to some meals. Vegans may struggle to find suitable meals though, so I suggest having a look at Green Chef’s vegan menu. For low-calorie meals, try Factor.
Home Chef has a complex pricing structure, and meals can vary quite a bit in price. If you opt for a protein upgrade, be aware that each of these comes with an upcharge. If you upgrade every meal, it'll get quite expensive.
Home Chef also offers plenty of flexibility in its pricing, so you can choose to skip those pricier meals and opt for the more affordable options. Plus, if you’re a first responder, hospital worker, teacher, or in the military, you can get an additional discount. It’s almost like they're saying “thank you for your service” with a side of deliciousness.
The menu features over 25 weekly meal choices. With meals starting at the lowest price of $7.99 per serving and a flat rate shipping fee of $10.99, you won’t have to worry about any hidden fees sneaking up on you either.
Quick and easy meal prep in 15 minutes
Fresh and high-quality ingredients that require minimal clean-up
Customize the protein in your meals
Fresh and Easy comes with everything I love about meal delivery services – the ingredients are prepped, measured, and are only waiting to be cooked. The expected clean-up is minimal, so you can dig in and enjoy your food without a pile of dishes looming from the sink.
The sign-up is fairly simple, as you’ll be taken to Home Chef’s website (yes, these 2 meal delivery services come from the same company), where you’ll be asked to answer some questions about your preferences and the sizes of meal kits. Read this great in-depth review by one of my coworkers if you’d like to learn more.
Fresh and Easy promises you can start eating in 15 minutes every time you prep a meal. While the sign-up process is the same as it is for Home Chef, the main difference between the 2 is in the amount of time you’re willing to dedicate to preparing your meals. Also, once you sign-up for Fresh and Easy, you can also order from the full Home Chef menu!
Fresh and Easy’s menu is conveniently tagged to identify each style of speedy prep, Express, or their almost no-prep Oven- and Grill-Ready meals that come in a recyclable oven-safe tin or grill-safe bag. This sets this service apart as its unique recipe offerings bridge the gap between microwavable prepared meals and cook-it-yourself meal kits.
Fast and Fresh recipes utilize the microwave to get your meals on the table in minutes, an excellent way to keep control over your work lunches. Fresh and Easy also offers customization options for many dishes on its menu, giving you the freedom to choose your protein.
While this service is revolutionary when it comes to convenience, it does rely quite a bit on animal proteins. This isn’t to say that Fresh and Easy has no vegetarian dishes, as it certainly does. It also recently introduced Impossible meat swaps to a number of its meals, allowing you to make them vegetarian, too. Still, for true lovers of plant-based food, I’d recommend Green Chef.
Prices start at $7.99 per serving, and there’s an option to order up to 6 meals for 2, 4, or 6 people. Fresh and Easy provides a cost-effective way to enjoy healthy meals without fuss. While it may not cater to every dietary need, this service delivers on its promise of convenience and deliciousness.
Good selection of Add-ons
High-quality ingredients in every box
Nutritionist-approved low-calorie recipes in the Wellness plan

There are 16 meal kits a week, split among 4 plans – Signature for 2, Signature for 4, Vegetarian for 2, and Wellness for 2. The latter features balanced, nutritionist-approved recipes, which is a perfect solution for anyone counting calories or following a low-calorie diet. Find out more about the menu in our complete Blue Apron review.
The Add-On section is filled with appetizers, desserts, and quick solutions for breakfast. Pork Chorizo, Tail-On Shrimp, and Almond Cornbread Cake are only some of the meal options you can add to your weekly delivery.
Heat & Eat meals are part of the add-on selection. These are a quick and easy solution for those nights when you feel too tired to cook. Simply pop them in the microwave for a couple of minutes, and voila, dinner is ready.
Blue Apron offers 1 Premium meal kit each week, which is particularly great for date nights and special occasions when you want to up your hosting game. Just make sure to check the price, as Premium usually comes with an upcharge. On the website, you’ll also spot a Market page where you can buy seasonal dishes and Heat & Eat meals.
Blue Apron’s meal kits start at $5.74 per serving. This is based on the largest order size of 5 meals per week for 4 people, making it especially great for families or larger households.

Meal delivery services are one of the best ways to enhance both your diet and your lifestyle. They also enhance your culinary skills by helping you add new and creative recipes to your collection! If you're looking for a meal delivery service in Spokane, consider a few things before deciding.
Identify your nutritional needs: Whether you’re a vegetarian, vegan, or following a specific diet like keto, it's important to choose a meal delivery service that caters to your nutritional requirements. Take a look at the menus and ingredient lists of different services and find one that aligns with your diet. If you’re looking for a good keto plan, Factor might be worth checking out.
Choose your meal type: Meal kit delivery services like Green Chef and HelloFresh provide you with the ingredients and recipes to cook your meals from scratch. Meanwhile, prepared meal delivery services like BistroMD offer pre-made frozen or refrigerated meals that can be quickly heated. Decide which type of service is right for you and your lifestyle.
Don’t just focus on price: While price is an important factor, don't make it the only one. The quality of ingredients, menu variety, and complexity of dishes are all important considerations. You don't want to sacrifice the quality of your meals for a cheaper price. Blue Apron, for example, is reasonably priced and has good quality meals.
Try out different services: Don't be afraid to try different meal delivery services until you find one that you love. With so many options available, there’s bound to be one that suits your taste and budget. Plus, all of the services on my list have discounts for new customers!
