Why did you choose to focus the business on Seniors particularly?
We saw a need in the senior community for our type of service. Many seniors want to remain independent in their homes for as long as possible, yet often struggle with preparing meals for themselves.

Chefs For Seniors is an in-home personal chef service. Our chefs prepare meals for the week in the seniors' homes, providing not only nutritious food customized for various dietary concerns, but companionship as well.

Yes! A major component of our service is the companionship element. Many CFS clients use the service for years, and their chef becomes like a friend. Their chef not only knows how they like their food prepared and their favorite vegetable, but how many grandchildren they have, where they have traveled to, etc.
What selection criteria do you use when recruiting your personal chefs?
Our chefs go through an extensive vetting process. Applicants must undergo a background check, be ServSafe certified, and have some commercial cooking experience. We also seek out chefs who are personable and have a heart for helping seniors in their community.
How do your meals rate in terms of value for money?
Chefs For Seniors is designed to be affordable and priced so that seniors can use the service on a regular basis. The chef is preparing several meals in the home and the meals often end up being less than the cost of dining out. For a customized service Chefs For Seniors is an amazing value.

The chef grocery shops for the ingredients for each client the day of service so the meals can be completely customized to meet that senior's food preferences and dietary restrictions. We have an extensive menu database of 150+ items that clients can choose from, or they can have a completely customized menu if they prefer.
