Digiphy 2023: all-in-one QR and no-code page-building platform

DeliveryRank has the opportunity to talk with Sarah Ellenbogen, the Co-Founder and CEO of Digiphy. Digiphy specializes in contextual marketing through QR-linked websites. With her expertise in the field of digital marketing, Sarah has created an innovative platform that allows businesses to meet their customers where they are.

What inspired you to start Digiphy, and how did you identify the need for a QR code and storyline builder platform for digital experiences?

Digiphy was born from the struggle I saw companies face while working at Google. Businesses don't know who their customers are or and aren’t able to contact them directly. Until now, they haven't had to. For almost a decade, aggregator platforms like Apple, Google, and Facebook leveraged customer data to deliver strong ROAS (return on ad spend) for brands without their consent.

That changed when GDPR, IDFA, and CCPA caused seismic shifts in digital privacy laws and the loss of third-party advertising cookies. I’m sure you have noticed brands asking you to opt-in to cookies on every website. That's because of these privacy laws. For the first time in years, digital and social ads are more expensive and less effective than ever. Companies need a better, compliant way to reach consumers and capture their data.

On top of that, I'm a mom of 3 young kids. Like many, I don't have the luxury of time. Still, I desperately want more information about the products I buy — where they come from, how they were made, how I should store or prepare them, and whether they are good for me, my children, and the environment. I wanted a way to find this information efficiently. There's no better placement for this content than on the product, packaging, or marketing asset itself. Technology like QR and NFC connect the physical-to-digital.

The data privacy updates and my desire as a consumer paved the way for my fellow founders and me to start Digiphy – a new direct-to-consumer marketing channel for brands to share useful and actionable information without sacrificing consumers privacy.

QR has come a long way in the past few years. COVID, smartphone advancements, and wide adoption in Asia mean QR is here to stay. Consumers of all ages know how to scan codes and love how simple it is to access contextual information.

We saw these trends and realized dynamic QR codes are the future of how brands would reach consumers directly yet the existing experiences weren’t helping brands achieve their objectives. We wanted Digiphy to benefit both companies and consumers. So our tool had to help businesses reach their goals and give customers the information they needed. A win-win for brands and consumers.

Can you explain how Digiphy's platform works and what specific benefits it offers to businesses looking to bridge the physical and digital worlds for their products?

Digiphy is an all-in-one QR and no-code page-building platform. We focus on bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds using QR and Digiphy Storyline pages. This forms a new marketing channel for brands of all sizes and types to get close and personal with their consumers and hit their business goals. Storylines are mobile-friendly pages brands can use to increase reorders and post-purchase engagement from every product and consumer touchpoint.

Partners can build Storyline pages using our series of customizable modules or one of our quick-start templates. Each Storyline can connect to a QR code. Most of our partners add QR to their products, packaging, or assets to direct customers to their Storylines. Some partners use Storylines for social media and digital ads and others are adding them as link-in-bios for social profiles.

We built our Storyline pages to help brands produce valuable and engaging experiences that motivate consumers to take action — like sharing their email addresses in exchange for a promotional offer.

With Digiphy, brands have so many possibilities to communicate their story, cultivate trust and accelerate sales. They can share setup guides, recipes, product origin, traceability data, how-to videos, customer reviews, consultation scheduling, and more. It is not replacing their website. It is solely focused on driving business conversions at the moment of engagement.

Partners can integrate their CRM, Google, and Meta pixels and tags and other third-party marketing integrations to capture zero-party data and omnichannel insights. This helps them better understand their consumers and remarket to them and others that look like them. Digiphy also incorporates traceability and data platforms to present a product’s origin and journey, and verify claims.

How does Digiphy approach user experience design and interface, and what strategies have been most successful in making the platform user-friendly and accessible for businesses of all sizes?

Our customer is the brand and consumer. We're a no-code marketing tool, so our UI is simple, elegant and effective. We aimed to devise a powerful, easy-to-use, self-serve platform where our end product, Storylines, mimic developer-level quality experiences with less time and money.

Our Chief Product Officer is also our Chief Creative Officer. He's a master at design, user experience, and product. Everything he does begins with putting the consumer first. He ensures the Digiphy Storyline pages provide consumers with relevant and engaging information while allowing companies to maximize their direct interaction with consumers. Our platform UI and UX are also built with this in mind making it easy and cost-effective for brands to create engaging customer experiences that convert.

We designed Digiphy to solve our clients' real-world challenges. We intentionally built our tools to be flexible and customizable. We are delighted to see so many different use cases, industries, and creative ways our customers utilize Digiphy for their business objectives. This speaks to our decision to design features in a way that lets customers decide how to use them. We continuously listen and take customer feedback to improve our product and revise our roadmap based on their needs and requests.

Can you explain how your platform makes it easy for businesses with limited resources to create and manage QR codes and digital experiences, and what specific tools or features do you offer to support these efforts?

At Digiphy, we always have the small business owner in mind. We understand that not everyone has access to a developer or a creative resource. Digiphy is a no-code solution, so anyone with any skill set can create and manage Storyline pages without technical expertise or creative know-how.

Whether you're a small business, a solopreneur, a large retailer with 1000s of stores, or an enterprise company with a 100-person marketing team, Digiphy's tools help you do more with less and solve your marketing challenges.

Users can easily add interactive elements to Digiphy Storyline pages that match their brand's look and feel. Things like videos, customer reviews, product catalogs, and more. Each of our modules are completely customizable, so brands can use them however they want.

Creators can quickly revise Storylines to adapt to seasonal sales or new product promotions without having to update the QR code that has already been printed. A company can modify the Storyline, redirect to a new URL, or swap out the Storyline completely, even after the package, product, and asset are in consumers' hands. Our partners love the flexibility to A/B test messaging, swap out creative assets, and make real-time changes.

Looking ahead, what are your plans for the future of Digiphy, and how do you see the company evolving to meet the changing needs of businesses and consumers in the digital age?

At Digiphy, we’re developing a cutting-edge, physical-to-digital storytelling platform — regardless of the digital trigger. Today it's QR. Tomorrow it's NFC, UPC, RFID, and beyond. Digiphy can easily integrate with any third-party technology — CRM, CMS, AR, Blockchain, GS1, or new platform — to remain ahead of the technological curve.

Beyond integrations, we are constantly adding new features and solutions. Every month we release product advancements. Our product team is continuously refining our platform and Storyline builder. We focus on streamlining the small business experience while upgrading our technology stack to include AI plus more robust tools for retailers and enterprise companies. Similarly, we continue to improve our targeting capabilities to ensure brands can reach consumers, extend engagement, and maximize conversions with unique content regardless of the scan location.

Digiphy is a cost-effective, versatile tool helping companies communicate with customers and meet their business objectives. The beauty of our platform is how seamlessly Digiphy integrates into current marketing strategies, supports data collection, and encourages customer engagement. Brands can tell their entire product story, communicate ingredient info, verify environmental claims, and even establish a user-generated content hub for customers.

We're more effective and less expensive than traditional marketing channels at creating digital experiences that deliver value and convert consumers. Digiphy successfully drives 20-40x ROI and business conversions at an average of 21%, well above what traditional websites deliver (2-5%). Some of our partners, like sustainable shoe company Prota Fiori, saw a 72% email opt-in rate.

We're constantly reimagining how brands and consumers interact.
