The menu includes dishes from various international cuisines, such as Indian, Mediterranean, Indonesian, Thai, and Mexican. Of course, you’ll have your fair share of good-old American recipes, like Ground Pork and Cheddar Chili Mac or Buffalo Chicken Breast. 

If you’re looking for something a bit fancier, each week, there are 3 Gourmet Plus meals cooked with premium ingredients, like mahi mahi or filet mignon. However, make sure to pay attention to the final cost of your order since these meals come with an upcharge.

If Gourmet Plus meals are too pricey, you have an extensive selection of add-ons to try. According to my colleague’s impressive Factor review, the add-ons menu includes options for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and desserts. Also, most of the dishes available on the Trifecta menu are free from gluten, dairy, and soy.

Moreover, all the dishes are calorie and portion controlled to fit your diet’s needs. However, since Trifecta’s main goal is weight loss and fitness, the menu doesn’t include any gourmet meals. Most recipes are a combination of lean meats, whole grains, and seasonable vegetables, so most of the variety comes from how the chefs choose to combine these 3 elements.

And, if you follow 1 of the 6 meal plans, chances are you’ll succeed.

Through the Trifecta app, you can track food intake, workouts, and progress. Furthermore, you’ll have access to workout plans and free coaching from a trained nutritionist. Lastly, the app connects you with other people on a similar journey for a bit of extra support.

The cost depends on the plan you choose and the number of meals you want per week. For instance, Vegan and Vegetarian meal plans have a lower cost than plans containing meat, but the difference isn’t that big.

Things get even pricier for the minimum order (7 entrees per week), but if you can afford it, Trifecta is a great service for people on a diet.

All these fit the Fresh N Lean food philosophy, which is about making healthy eating accessible to everyone.

Each recipe contains detailed information on protein, carbs, fat, and calories, making it easier to keep track. First, you see the information on protein and carbs (directly above the recipe’s name), but if you click on the recipe, you’ll get a graphic representation of the macro and calorie content, plus the type of protein (which is quite a neat feature, if you ask me).

I love that there are 2 well-stocked vegan plans (Vegan Standard and Vegan Low Carb). Unlike Factor or Trifecta, Fresh N Lean makes it easier for vegans and vegetarians to enjoy delicious and healthy meals. My colleague’s Fresh N Lean review will provide more details on meal plans.

All the Fresh N Lean meals are gluten-free, and 3 meal plans are dairy-free. Also, you don’t have to worry about cross-contamination. Fresh N Lean implements a series of food safety HACCP programs, allergen controls, and processes to avoid such a situation. For instance, Vegan meals are prepared on separate shifts than other meal plans, and the entire cooking facility is gluten-free. Moreover, the dishes are also GMO-free, and all the animal products are antibiotic and hormone-free.

Even though these are ready-made meals, there are some customization options. While ordering, you can exclude up to 3 ingredients you don’t like and identify allergens like egg, sesame, tree nut, soy, and more. And you can consider each of these recipes as being low sodium since most contain 140 mg of sodium or less per 100 g of the meal.

Fresh N Lean’s single-serving meals are big enough to feed 1 adult in 1 sitting, so the service works best for singles and couples. You can order the full plan, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 7 days, or just breakfasts for 5 days. For a 7-day full plan, the price per serving starts at $7.53, which is quite acceptable. However, keep in mind that the Protein+ and Mediterranean meal plans are the most expensive, while the Vegan plans are a bit lower in cost.

Moreover, the dishes on the kid-friendly menu are smaller in size (7-8oz as opposed to 11.5oz for keto and AIP diets and 12oz for vegan foods), so it also fits anyone who’s not a big eater.

All the meals are gluten-, dairy-, and GMO-free, which is great news for allergy sufferers. Plus, you can choose to remove pork as an ingredient from your menu when placing an order (only for lunches and dinners, though). The menu changes every week, and the dishes only include seasonal ingredients to maximize the taste and nutrient intake.

I can’t say there’s much culinary variety, but the meals are delicious. Recipes like Turkey Bacon and Potato Frittata (great for breakfast) and Thai Peanut Chicken (great for a low-carb dinner or lunch) are nutrient-dense and fit most people’s taste.

To spot the number of calories and macro content, you have to click on the recipe, but keep in mind that Muscle Meals 2 Go doesn’t go by the 1 size fits all method. You have several size options, such as Standard, Extra Protein, or By The Pound (depending on the type of meal).

If you choose a meal plan, you can order 10, 18, or 24 single-serving meals per week, with the option to add breakfast and snacks. Prices start at $11.58 per serving and vary depending on the meal plan and the number of servings.
