Wine Clubs That Ship to West Virginia Reviewed

1. Firstleaf – Best Overall Wine Club That Ships to West Virginia

Firstleaf's Le Temps des Récoltes

Key Features

Firstleaf has been my top pick for wine delivery for quite some time now. And its competitive pricing and broad selection are just a few reasons for that. What sets the company apart is its wine experts' global hunt for must-try wines, in which they scour various corners of the world. And its selection includes many multi-awarded bottles.

The service has a remarkable international assortment. Click on Regions in the header to find dozens of bottles from Italy, France, Spain, Chile, and other renowned wine countries. Don't hesitate to order wines from nations you may haven't heard of as leading wine countries. From my experience, I vouch for Greek and Portuguese wines.

The company lets you filter wines by type, with options for reds, whites, rosés, and sparklings right in the header. The range of reds and whites is quite impressive. Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are big in the red wine selection, while Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay are most numerous in whites. You'll also find a few dozen rosés and several sparklings on offer.

Featured Bundles might be your thing if you like to research. These can focus on a specific wine type (red, white...) or offer a mix (of whites and rosés, for example). These sets typically contain 3, 6, 12, or 15 bottles. a screenshot of firstleaf's 2020 Espaldera Syrah

Go for Specialty wines if you're into something special. Firstleaf lists Dry Wines, Lower Alcohol Wines, and Keto-Friendly Wines, among other sub-categories. You can pair keto-friendly wines with prepared dishes from Factor, one of the top-rated meal delivery services.

Don't miss Fine Wine Selection for some of the most-rewarded wines. Some stars of the show are Bramble & Bower and Thistle & Qual (red wines) and whites Le Temps des Récoltes and Longitude 120 West (white wines).

You can let the company curate bottles if you're unsure where to start. Take a short quiz, and its experts will try to match your taste. Note that you can swap picks out if they don't hit the mark.

This West Virginia wine delivery has 3 subscription tiers. Check our expert Firstleaf review to learn more about them.

I recommend checking out Firstleaf's Wine School for its insightful content. I think there's potential to pick up something new there, even if you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or an experienced sommelier.

You'll get quality wines at fair prices with this wine subscription service. Whichever on-site wine category or sub-category you choose, you're likely to find award-winners. The deals start at $7.49. Buy 12 wines or more, and you'll enjoy free shipping. Smaller orders incur a flat delivery fee of $14.95 for West Virginians.

2. Naked Wines – Best Affordable West Virginia Wine Delivery Service

Naked Wines' Benjamin Darnault Pique Nique Rosé 2022

Key Features

  • The company has around 150 gold medal wines on offer

  • You can buy bottles under $10 from this service

  • The wine club has whites, reds, sparklings, and rosés

  • Current deal: Get 50% Off!

Naked Wines is a great option if you're after affordable premium wines. It sort of crowdfunds independent winemakers, helping them enhance their production and getting wines for privileged prices, some of which cost less than $10, in return. That way, it skips intermediaries who inflate the price and introduces a host of highly-rated wines to its customers.

This wine club had over 500 wines last time I checked. And approximately 150 of them are gold medal winners. Wines from the USA take center stage. However, the company has bottles from many renowned global wine regions, including Italy, France, and Spain. Argentina, Australia, and Chile are some other represented wine nations.

Reds form the bulk of Naked Wines' assortment. During my research, I found around 350 red wines on offer. A month ago, this number was 260, so it’s clear to see the increase. Whites followed with 130+ bottles, while sparkling (35) and rosé (21) wines were fewer but still plentiful enough.

The wine club has a comprehensive filtering system. You can sift through options like Grape, Country, and Alcohol, among many others. You can also search by specific winemaker, region, and dietary preference, some of which are vegan and organic. If you look to pair organic wines and food, you should subscribe to Green Chef, a USDA-certified meal delivery service. a screenshot of 2021 Kaufmann Hattenheim Dry Riesling from Naked Wines

This wine delivery service doesn't have a wine personalization quiz to guide your choices. So, you'll have to rely on your best judgment and insights when selecting bottles. If you're after a more customized experience, you should try Firstleaf. It provides an insightful quiz that helps its sommeliers curate wines based on your answers.

But Naked Wines still caters to your taste even without a questionnaire. You can rate each wine after buying it, and these ratings help shape your future recommendations. The more wines you try and rate, the sharper and more tailored the future suggestions become.

You can become a Naked Wines Angel member for $40 a month and reap some perks. I find discounts that can reach a whopping 60% off market prices the most tempting. Check out our complete Naked Wines Review to see how it works.

This service boasts some really budget-friendly bottles. Prices kick off at $7.99. If you're budget-conscious, use a filter that lets you set a spending limit under $10, over $25, and between. Shipping costs vary based on how much you order. As a West Virginia resident, you may benefit from free delivery or pay a modest $9.99 shipping fee.

3. Vinesse – Best for Bottles From Acclaimed Vineyards

Vinesse's Tall Dark Stranger wine

Key Features

  • You can get wines sooner if you have a business address

  • Typical transit times for West Virginians are 2 days

  • The company has white, red, and sparkling wines

  • Current deal: Enjoy 6 Exceptional Wines for Just $41.94

Vinesse has been a trusted name in wine delivery for the past 3 decades. Its expert sommeliers travel the globe to find and bring remarkable wines to the US. With Vinesse, you'll sip selections from top wine regions like France, Italy, Australia, and Argentina. Speaking of Argentina, it's famed for exquisite Malbecs, and you can spot 1 in the image above.

The wine club focuses on sourcing wines from renowned wineries throughout the world. And you can buy many of them for reasonable prices. Red 2021 Aurelia Cellars Lodi and white 2021 Willow Springs Cellars are some Vinesse Exclusive bottles you can have for less than 20 bucks. But if you’re after highly-rated wines that cost under $10, give Naked Wines a try.

Besides affordable wines, Vinesse has wines on the pricier side for discerning wine drinkers. And some of them cost nearly $100. What's more, the West Virginia wine delivery service has 12-bottle sets coming with a price tag above that $100 mark.

The service has a filtering system you can use to pinpoint wines based on your preferences. Vinesse Exclusive and Shop by Price, Type, and Varietal are available filters. I noticed that the wine club has rosés besides reds, whites, and sparklings. But you can find the Rosé sub-filter under the Shop by Varietal filter instead of the Shop by Type filter. a screenshot of vinesse's 2021 Old Train Depot Lodi, California Petite Sirah

Vinesse has Wine Samplers with dozens of curated sets. If you're wondering where to dive in, maybe start with Top Selling Samplers. Two popular 12-bottle choices are A Passport to Our Most Loved International Reds and A Delicious California Trio. I also had my eye on the Bold, White & Ready to Drink set of 12, and the Vinesse Favorites Trio.

Vinesse doesn't have an on-site wine customization quiz. So trust your instincts or past experiences when picking bottles or sets. But if you're keen on a more tailored approach, consider taking Firstleaf's handy quiz to find wines that suit your taste best.

You can choose to buy the wine club's wines as a guest or become a member. The second option provides various benefits, some of which are flexible membership options and a Satisfaction Guarantee on each wine. Take a look at our comprehensive Vinesse review to learn more about the membership details.

You might scratch your head like I did when asked for a business address during sign-up. Note that this step, which might speed up delivery by a day and save you a $2.50 residential surcharge, is optional. Either way, your wine will get to you.

So, the cost per bottle depends on various factors. But it starts from $10.00. Note that shipping and handling costs depend on your order's size and your exact location.

4. Bright Cellars – Best Wine Customization Service for West Virginians

Bright Cellars' Sparkling Wine Bundle

Key Features

  • The wine club sells only wine bundles

  • You can buy cocktails, besides wines

  • Choose between red, white, sparkling, and rosé wines

Bright Cellars is a top pick for beginners and those eager to explore new wine flavors. It adjusts wines based on its customers' feedback, acting like a lifesaver for newcomers feeling overwhelmed with choices. The company's wine experts handpick bottles based on your input, making venturing into new wines virtually risk-free.

Before we dive in, you should know that you can buy only bundles from this service. The wine club's sommeliers curate those based on their experience. So, you normally can't buy individual bottles or mix and match them as you wish. If you prefer having a say in the wine selection, check out Vinesse.

Bright Cellars has red, white, sparkling, and rosé wines in its assortment. You'll find bottles from esteemed wine regions such as Italy, Spain, and France, among others. Of course, you'll find wines that originated throughout the USA, too, most of which hail from the notable wine regions of California and Washington.

Bright Cellars has Margaritas on offer, too. When diving into my research for the Wine Clubs That Ship to West Virginia guide, I found that it offers lime- and strawberry-flavored Margs. Give them a try if you're in the mood for a home or garden cocktail without the bar scene.

Complete the on-site wine personalization quiz to get a tailored wine selection. If you're new to wine, a few questions might confuse you, such as what type of chocolate you crave. But trust the process since wine experts designed it to better understand your taste. Check out our comprehensive review to learn more about the quiz and other details. a screenshot of the 12 Days of Wine bundle from bright cellars

You're free to exchange any recommended wines if others catch your eye. Besides, you can decide how many bottles to order, be it 4, 6, or 12. If you're sure about your selections, grabbing more bottles can net you some decent savings.

Consider becoming a Bright Cellars member to snatch various perks. Some I find particularly attractive are the 20% membership discount and early bird access to handpicked wine bundles. And, if you aren't a fan of a particular wine the wine club sends, you can swap it out.

The service doesn't have filters, unlike Naked Wines, which has the most extensive filtering system I discovered among wine clubs. But if you're keen on wines from specific countries, give customer support a shout. From my experience, the company's reps are forthcoming and ready to accommodate requests if possible.

The price for each bundle varies based on its type and how many bottles are inside. The most affordable bundle starts at $10.00. If you grab a box with 6 bottles or more, the service covers the shipping. But for smaller orders, the company charges a $10 delivery fee to ship your order to West Virginia.

5. Wine Insiders – Best Delivery Service for Fans of French Wines

Wine Insiders' 2019 Calvari Organic Toscana Rosso I.G.T.

Key Features

  • The company has a large selection of Italian and American wines

  • You can buy reds, whites, sparklings, and rosés

  • The wine club has wine sets based on the type and country of origin

Wine Insiders boasts a rich collection of French wines. Every time I checked so far, it had 50+ picks from renowned places like Bordeaux and Languedoc. And the cost of most of them is between $10 and $20, with just a handful slightly over. The wine delivery service also has canned French wines, which you can sip on the move.

Wine Insiders boasts a global range of selections. It consistently has dozens of bottles from the USA, Italy, and Spain. And every time I check, I spot several choices from Chile, Australia, and Argentina. Intriguingly, the wine club also has wines from lesser-known wine regions like Hungary and Morocco.

This wine delivery service has red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines on offer. In my latest look, red wines took the lead with over 110 options. Whites were next in line, showcasing over 70 varieties. Rosés were around 2 dozen, and several sparklings completed the list. Read our expert Wine Insiders review to learn more about the company’s wine selection.

The wine club has curated sets by sommeliers, too. Most of these are available in 6- and 12-bottle sets, although a few bundles containing 3 wines managed to sneak into this selection at the time I reviewed the company. If you’re enthusiastic about French or Italian wines, check out the Best of France and Ciao, Italian Reds sets. Or go for Sommelier Picks for bottles from various renowned wine regions. a screenshot of wine insiders' 2022 Muchas Manos Red Blend

Wine Insiders has a handy filtering system that lets you narrow down your choices based on various criteria. Some filters I find most useful are Country, Varietal (Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc...), and Sweetness (from Dry to Sweet). If you're curious, there's also a More Filters section where you'll find options like Staff Pick, Organic, and Vegan. To pair vegan wines with great food, check out HelloFresh.

Wine Insiders has cocktails in its assortment besides wines. On my recent browse through its offerings, I stumbled upon ready-to-drink Margaritas in flavors like zesty lime, tangy grapefruit, and sweet strawberry. Borriquito Red and White Sangrias were also available.

The company doesn't have a palate-tailoring quiz. If you'd like experts to guide your wine choices, you should check out Firstleaf. It has a top-notch customization questionnaire and an impressive line-up of award-winning wines from around the world.

The wine club has a fair pricing policy. You can get wine from a celebrated winery starting from $8.99. And Wine Insiders waives shipping costs if you pick up at least 6 bottles. For less than that, West Virginians pay a $14.95 shipping charge and an additional $2.95 processing fee.

6. The California Wine Club – Top Choice for Fans of Golden State Wines

The California Wine Club's Patland from Napa Valley

Key Features

  • The company has 6 wine clubs

  • You can buy white and red wines

  • The wine delivery service has a small international wine selection

The California Wine Club is a solid choice if you're after wines from the Golden State. It boasts dozens of bottles from places like Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, and Lodi. And while its primary focus is on California wines, it also offers a West Coast selection from Oregon and Washington. These selections, however, usually come with a higher price tag.

The wine subscription service has a tiny selection of international wines. I keep finding some offerings from Italy, France, Germany, and Canada every time I look. If you're on the lookout for wines from Argentina, Chile, or Australia, their selection is very small. Give Firstleaf a try for dozens of bottles from these renowned wine regions.

The California Wine Club has red and white wines. It advertises over 100 handcrafted wines in its Wine Store, but I noticed that the numbers tend to drop sometimes. Still, the company replenishes its assortment every month, so you'll always have a decent selection to choose from. For this reason, the service found its place among the 10 best wine delivery services on our list.

Shortlist your favorite wines through 5 filters containing a series of sub-filters. The main filters are:

  • Categories

  • Red Wine

  • White Wine

  • Region

  • Wine Club Levels a screenshot of the 2020 Shannon Family of Wines 13 Rams Cabernet Sauvignon from California Wine Club

Some noteworthy Categories are Best Values and Highly Rated Wines. Some Red Wine varieties are Merlot and Syrah, while a few famous White Wine varietals are Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Available regions are California, Pacific Northwest, and International. Wine Club Levels mostly correspond to available wine clubs.

The California Wine Club has 6 distinct wine clubs you can become a member of:

  • Premier Series features wines from quaint family-owned wineries

  • Pacific Northwest Series offers bottles from up-and-coming producers

  • International Series showcases wines from artisan wine craftsmen

  • Signature Series highlights award-winning wines with 90+ ratings and gold medals

  • Case Club Series curates handcrafted and carefully chosen bottles

  • Aged Cabernet Series specializes in Cabernet wines aged for 7 to 12 years

Each of these wine clubs has different customization options. Read our complete review to learn how they work.

You'll have to rely on your instincts and knowledge when picking wines from this service. That's because it doesn't have an on-site wine personalization quiz. If you prefer expert assistance, consider subscribing to Bright Cellars.

The cost of The California Wine Club's bottles varies, as do delivery fees. Prices for its wines begin at $10.99. If you subscribe to the Premier Series, the company's most wallet-friendly membership, expect to cover a $16 shipping charge in addition to any relevant handling fees and taxes.

7. Wine Awesomeness – Random Choices for Adventurous Vinophiles

Wine Awesomeness's 2022 Cape White

Key Features

  • Order mystery packs if you like surprises

  • The service has sets recommended by famous importers

  • The company has reds, whites, and rosés

This wine club presents a unique proposition you can seldom come across. It offers you a mystery purchase, keeping you in suspense about your selection until your order arrives. In my view, it's a fun way to add an element of surprise to your wine journey.

You retain some control over the surprise selection, though. For instance, you can opt to get a surprise pack of red, white, or rosé wines. But if you prefer mixing and matching different wine types, go for the Variety Mystery Pack. These sets typically consist of 12 sommelier-curated wines, averaging about 16 bucks per bottle, as stressed in our comprehensive review.

Wine Awesomeness leans heavily toward imported wines. When I was researching for the Wine Clubs That Ship to West Virginia guide, I spotted only 8 bottles from US vineyards. The rest of the service's selection was a mix of renowned and lesser-known global wine regions. If you prefer drinking wines produced in the USA, check The California Wine Club.

What I find cool about this wine delivery service is its wide geographic spread. It has selections from big-name wine regions like France, Spain, Italy, and South Africa. But you can also find wines from off-the-beaten-path places like Uruguay, Austria, and Slovenia, for example. a screenshot of wine awesomeness's 2016 Ram's Gate Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

You'll appreciate a detailed filtering system if you give Wine Awesomeness a try. Some filters I find most useful are by type, by country, and by grape. The wine club also has dozens of curated packs created by wine experts. For this reason, the wine subscription service deserves a spot among the best wine clubs for beginners.

This delivery service for wine aficionados also has the last call 40% off filter. I recommend you check this option if you're on a budget. But note that these discounted bottles fly off the shelves, so check the offer as often as possible. I suggest subscribing to Naked Wines for a constant supply of affordable yet highly-rated wines.

Consider becoming a Wine Awesomeness Discovery Wine Club member. As a subscriber, you can decide whether to get a monthly supply of wines curated by in-house sommeliers or choose for yourself. You can opt for 3, 6, or 12 red, white, or mixed bottles per month. And the best part is that all account owners get 20% off.

I found that this wine club suits various budget needs. In general, prices start at $13.25. You'll get free shipping on orders over $150. As for smaller orders, residents of West Virginia pay shipping fees depending on their location and the order size.

8. Macy’s Wine Shop – Top Red Blends Wine Club

Macy's Wine Shop's 2021 Casa De La Luna Selección de Enólogo Red Blend

Key Features

  • The company has an extensive collection of red wine blends

  • You can find dozens of white wine blends on offer, too

  • The wine shop also has sparkling and rosé wines

Macy's Wine Shop will likely be your top choice if you're into red blends. While most wine delivery services offer a handful or a few dozen of these at best, this online wine shop had a whopping 67 red blends when I last checked. For this and other reasons, it's no wonder that it made it to our expert selection of the 10 best red wine clubs.

Most red blends originated in France (36) at the time of my research. Blends from the USA made of more than 1 grape variety were 13. Wines from other countries, including Italy, Portugal, and Spain, were fewer. But every single bottle I checked was an award-winner. Some grape varietals used for these blends were Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc.

Macy's Wine Shop also has great white blends. France and Italy were leading with 8 and 7 bottles, respectively, when I looked. Other wine regions, like the USA, Spain, and Australia, also pitched in, but with fewer choices. But these wines have bagged awards like their red blend counterparts, too. Semillon Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay were some of the grapes used in their production.

The wine delivery service boasts a comprehensive collection of reds and whites. Every time I check, it has around 150 red wines and about 100 whites on offer. You can also find a decent collection of around 30 rosés. I spotted sparklings here and there, but it appears there are too few to deserve a section. Check out Naked Wines for dozens of sparkling wines.

Macy's Wine Shop has a filtering system containing 7 filters, some of which are:

  • Sweetness: Dry, Semi-sweet, and Sweet, etc.

  • Country: Australia, France, and United States, among others

  • Varietal: Moscato, Zinfandel, and Pinot Grigio a screenshot of macy's wine shop's 2021 Marquis de Bacalon Bordeaux Rosé

But the 1 filter that drew my attention was Vintage. That's because it may prove invaluable to wine enthusiasts who follow the trends and know which year was particularly successful in certain wine regions. And the available options during my research for this guide spanned the period from 2016 to 2023.

Macy's Wine Shop skips the wine personalization quiz that some other clubs have. If you could use a tailored wine experience, I think you should check out Firstleaf. It has the most detailed wine customization questionnaire I took and a host of bottles that collected multiple awards.

Think about becoming this wine club's member. Our reviewer was impressed with the broad selection of wines it offers. Some perks you could enjoy are lower prices and replacements for bottles you don't like.

Macy's Wine Shop has fair prices. You can buy its most affordable wines at $10.99. Order at least 6 bottles, and you'll get your wine box for free if you disregard a small processing fee. But if you order fewer bottles, the company will charge you a fixed-rate delivery fee of $14.95 to ship your order to West Virginia.

9. Monthly Clubs – Best for Pairing Wine and Cheese

Monthly Clubs' Chartron et Trebuchet Chablis

Key Features

  • The company has beer, chocolate, and cigar clubs

  • You can choose between 4 wine clubs

  • The business has white and red wines on offer

Monthly Clubs should be 1 of your top choices if you're a fan of wine and cheese like me. The company has 2 clubs centered on cheese (The Original Gourmet Cheese Club and The Rare Cheese Club) and 4 wine-centric ones, which are:

  • The Premier Series, offering premium boutique wines

  • The Bold Reds, providing bottles for red wine connoisseurs

  • The Masters Series, delivering 1 bottle of The Premier Series and 1 of The Collectors Series

  • The Collectors Series, boasting rare wines that take their time to age

The Premier Series is undeniably the crowd favorite, yet all the clubs receive high praise from members. Monthly fees vary from 1 wine club to another, starting at $41.95 for The Premier Series. Read our dedicated Monthly Clubs review to learn how it works.

So, you'll get specially curated wines if you become a member of Monthly Clubs. But you can also buy a la carte, if you prefer, by selecting the Wine Store option. And you'll find various handy filters to navigate your choices there, some of which are:

  • Color: White and Red

  • Grape Varietals: Pinot Noir, Riesling, Grenache, etc.

  • Country: France, Australia, and South Africa, among others a screenshot of monthly clubs' 2018 Capezzana Villa di Capezzana Carmignano

Neither club offers sparkling or rosé wines. If you're a fan of these, I suggest checking out Wine Insiders.

French wines consistently dominate the list every time I dive into the selection. Just to paint a picture, my last check revealed 22 wines hailing from France. To give some perspective, Portugal and Argentina trailed behind with 7 and 5 bottles, respectively.

The Varietals filter is packed with grape variety choices. Reds, led by Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot, predictably took the lead. Some grapes used for the white wine production you can find there are Riesling, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, to name a few.

The list of grape varieties is quite extensive, with dozens of options, so everyone can find something suitable. In combination with offerings from other company clubs, it's a small wonder that Monthly Clubs made it to the list of the best birthday wine delivery services around.

You'll have to trust your gut when buying Monthly Clubs wines a la carte. Or you'll get bottles curated by seasoned sommeliers if you opt for a membership. But if you prefer getting personalized recommendations, Bright Cellars may be your jam. It has a detailed on-site wine customization questionnaire that fine-tunes picks to your specific taste.

Monthly Clubs has something for wine lovers on every budget. You can grab some of its most wallet-friendly bottles starting from $20.98. But you'll have to factor in the shipping fee, which typically ranges from $15 to $36, depending on the order size, for West Virginians.

10. Plonk – Top Eco-Friendly Wines

Plonk's Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi

Key Features

  • You can buy wine and food bundles from this service

  • The company boasts a large organic wine selection

  • You can buy white, red, rosé, and sparkling wines

Plonk has a knack for sourcing unique organic wines from off-the-beaten-path regions. What I mean is that you'll likely find bottles from places like Armenia, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, and Canada. I did spot wines from renowned areas like France, Argentina, and South Africa while researching, but offerings from other heavyweights like Italy and Spain were missing in action.

Plonk focuses on small players in the wine world. It sources wines from wine producers who champion native grapes and lesser-known appellations. Sustainability is key, so you can rest assured that these wines steer clear of pesticides, herbicides, and other not-so-friendly additives. In short, you'll enjoy only pure and natural stuff.

This wine delivery service isn't exactly the cheapest out there. But if you're an eco-aware wine lover watching your budget, you might want to check out Firstleaf. It offers a broad selection of eco-friendly wines that are more wallet-friendly, especially for members.

You can find reds, whites, sparklings, and rosés in the company's assortment. But note that their numbers typically range from a few to several. While doing my research for the Wine Clubs That Ship to West Virginia guide, only whites counted more than a dozen options. Read more in our review.

Besides by Wine Type, you can sort bottles by Region and Wine Making Method. The Region filter has 5 main categories that further break down into sub-categories. For instance, under Europe, you'll find countries like Germany and Portugal, while the USA category includes regions like California and Oregon. As for the Wine Making Method, you have these options:

  • Certified Organic

  • Grown Organic

  • Certified Biodynamic

  • Grown Biodynamic

  • Sustainable a screenshot of the 2021 Pascona Lo Petito from Plonk

Check Naked Wines to cross-examine sustainable wines through more than 3 filters. This highly-rated wine subscription service also has organic and biodynamic options.

Plonk has 3 wine clubs, which are:

  • Red Organic Wine Club

  • White Organic Wine Club

  • Mixed Organic Wine Club

You can pick 4-, 6-, or 12-bottle cases with a month-by-month subscription if you dive into any of these wine clubs. If that's not for you, opt for prepaid options for 3, 6, or 12 shipments.

The wine club has various curated cases in its Wine Shop. Pick a red, white, or mixed mystery case if you like surprises. If you party, go for a white, red, or mixed dinner party pack. If you're a wine enthusiast and gourmand, don't miss Food & Wine Bundles.

Plonk isn't among the cheapest wine clubs around for sure. The least expensive bottles will set you back $9.50. On the bright side, residents of West Virginia don't pay for shipping.

Tips for Choosing the Best Wine Club That Ships to West Virginia

Now you know what the top wine clubs that deliver to West Virginia are. Yet, choosing the right 1 for you requires a bit of thought. From my experience, these key factors are sure to guide you to your perfect match:

  • Think about your wine preference. You usually have choices like red, white, sparkling, and rosé. Besides, you may like wines featuring low alcohol by volume, specific grape varieties, or from certain wine regions or winemakers. Naked Wines has an elaborate filtering system that includes these and many other parameters.

  • Figure out whether you'd like a wine expert's guidance. Having sommeliers select bottles can be beneficial for newcomers and seasoned wine lovers. Firstleaf stands out in this regard with its detailed wine customization quiz. What's more, many of its wines have received multiple awards and don’t break the bank.

  • Establish your budget. For me, pricing is next in terms of importance. If you're looking for more affordable choices, Wine Insiders is a safe bet. But if you don't mind spending more for top-tier quality, Vinesse is the way to go.

  • Check the delivery fees. Shipping fees can add to the cost, but certain wine clubs waive these expenses if you buy a specific number of bottles. For instance, Bright Cellars provides free shipping for orders of 6 bottles, whereas some clubs levy a shipping fee for orders below 12 bottles.
